Badisa as a registered NGO and PBO has to raise funds to cover the costs incurred. These funds are received from various sources:

The largest donor to the work done by Badisa is the Department of Social Services of the Western Cape. The national department also provides a small subsidy to the management programme for very specific roles we have to fulfill. The province provides finances in the form of subsidies. The government subsidies are less than 30% of the total expense budget.

Over the past number of years Badisa has been fortunate to receive funding from the National Lotteries Distribution Trust fund. In 2010 the Lotto contributed R49.5 million to 134 prgrammes and projects of Badisa. |

The Ministry for Poverty and Compassion on behalf of the DRC (Western and Southern Cape) and URCSA (Cape), as the sponsoring churches, also contributes to the work. Many members of local churches do voluntary work at programmes where they serve on the managment committees or are involved in direct service delivery. Members are also donors that support the work and help Badisa reach out to the most vulnerable in society. |
