BADISA is a designated child protection organization which has the statutory obligation to protect children in accordance with the Children's Act.
BADISA has 52 social service offices which prioritizes all mentions of professed child neglect, molestation or abuse.
That means social workers need the necessary skills to assess children and families, and deliver and present court reports to the Children's Court.
If children have been neglect or abused, they are placed with safety parents in safety homes, foster care or child and youth care center's (children's homes).
The social service offices create safety networks in the communities to protect children and to assist parents and children.
The social service offices present life skills projects to children and youth which are combined with sports and cultural activities to empower them to make better life choices.
Especially the youth in the poorer communities overcome the challenges of inadequate school progress, teenage pregnancies, substance abuse, criminal behavior and unemployment, with the help of BADISA.
The staff of BADISA hosts camps, talent competitions, sports events and awareness campaigns for children and the youth.
BADISA has six child and youth care centre's (children's homes) where children and youth are cared for, within a residential program until they can be reunited with their families.
The children or youth are exposed to a variety of activities on a spiritual, social and educational level, within a structured and therapeutic environment.
The program focuses on the unique strengths of every individual to develop his/her potential to the full.
BADISA also has a program for street children, which is specifically aimed at service delivery to street children.
BADISA also provides after- school facilities to feed children, keep them safe and to assist them with school work.
