  • The poverty and unemployment in SA is very high and BADISA has, along with service delivery and education, also taken on the challenge to provide projects in the communities to relieve poverty.
  • BADISA has soup kitchens and food projects where food is distributed to people who do not possess the necessary means.
  • Programs also collect clothing and goods to redistribute to needy families. BADISA depends on donations and volunteers to run these projects.
  • BADISA also develops job creation projects to empower unemployed persons, like the development of food gardens and the creation of handmade products.
  • In addition, BADISA supports projects in the Eastern Cape linked to congregations to address poverty, especially in rural areas.
  • Social work programmes provide awareness campaigns to HIV and Aids and other prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
  • The Sothemba Aids Action programme renders services to support persons infected or affected by HIV and Aids.
