The social workers handle the reports in the community of homeless, disadvantaged or abused disabled persons.
The staff is responsible for follow-ups, assessing the circumstances and to direct these persons to aftercare centre's.
BADISA has three aftercare centre's for adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
These programs provide residential care, medical and therapeutic services and pastoral care to the residents.
The program also has workshops where residents learn new skills or do contract work to stay constructively busy and generate an income, within a protective environment.
The Institute for the Blind has three homes for adults and one for the elderly persons who are visually impaired.
They also have industries, which consist of six workshops and two shops that provide jobs to approximately 200 persons who are visually impaired.
The institute provides various educational programs, sports and other activities and is the sponsorship body for the Pioneer School for children with visual disabilities.
On behalf of the church BADISA has sponsor programmes at Schools for children with special education needs,namely Alta du Toit and Jan Kriel.
